Dr. Jack Zigler, who specializes in spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas takes over the role from Dr. Marek Szpalski. Dr. Zigler earned his M.D., cum laude, from SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, New York and was a Resident and Chief Resident in Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY. Dr. Zigler was a recipient of the Arnold Fellowship in Spine Surgery at Case Western Reserve University and during his subsequent career he has authored over 60 peer-reviewed articles, 3 textbooks on Spine, over 20 textbook chapters, and has given over 100 presentations at national and international spine meetings.
ISASS - The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery - Is the largest international society dedicated to spine surgery. ISASS is a global scientific and educational society organized to provide a venue to discuss and address the issues involved with all aspects of spine surgery care. The Society focuses on basic and clinical science and outcomes of spine surgery including motion preservation, minimally invasive procedures, stabilization, innovative technologies and techniques, biologics and other fundamental topics to restore and improve spine function for patients, surgeons, scientists, inventors and others. ISASS is dedicated to advancing significant evolutionary steps in spine surgery.
