COVID-19 Safety Protocols

With legal clearance given by the City of Austin, the November Spine IEP will proceed in compliance with all city and CDC safety guidelines. The Fairmont is equipped to ensure that a ten-foot distance is available within each meeting space. Rooms inside the hotel will be operating at a 50% capacity level. Events will be held in a 26,000 sq. ft. ballroom, and outside when available. 

  • All hotel and course protocols have been developed following the guidance of the WHO, CDC, & PHAC, AHLA & USTA, and local health and government authorities.

  • Temperature checks will be conducted each day of the course, along with each time you enter the hotel.

  • All hotel staff will be masked. A gloved doorman will be stationed at each public hotel door. Masks will be strictly enforced throughout the hotel and provided each time you enter.  Hand sanitizer will be stationed throughout the venue.

  • Ground and air transportation will be operating at a reduced capacity. Middle seats will be left empty for adequate space. Transportation to all cadaver labs will be provided. 

  • “Wellness Kits” will be provided in your guest room. For a full list of items click here:

  • Assigned seating for the duration of the meeting. 

  • Meals are bagged and grab-and-go.

  • Plexiglass will be installed on each exhibition table in the industry session. 

  • Clear paths for entry and exit from the meeting spaces. 

  • Virtual components for attendees to stream the sessions, if required.

  • Friday evening reception to be held outside; social distancing will be enforced.
