Magnifi Group Celebrates Spine IEP’s 3rd Year and 2nd for Total Joint IEP
San Diego, CA – August 30, 2010 – Magnifi Group, Inc., a developer of online learning technology, has expanded its Interactive Educational Program for Spine and Total Joint to a total of 55 leading Orthopaedic centers, all of whom are committed to using the IEP as an integral part of their 2010 Fellows’ education.
The IEP, funded in part by medical device companies and offered at no cost to US fellowships, is part of a didactic educational process focused on Fellows about to enter Spine and Total Joint practice. The IEP curricula has grown to include 2,500 pages of surgeon-authored content and over 850 videos, images and animations. Additional features include an online personal notebook, Users’ Forum, Job Board, Calendar of Events and a complete Animation/Image Library. The IEP for Spine is also CME-certified and currently offers 75 online ACCME accredited courses.
The Spine IEP launched on August 1, 2008 and currently includes over 90 of the nation’s leading spine fellows. The Spine IEP’s sister program, the Total Joint IEP, enters its second academic year, with over 60 fellows participating actively.
Steven Garfin, MD, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of California, San Diego and Editor in Chief of the Spine IEP, states that his fellows are getting more and more value out of the IEP. “I now have my fellows not only reviewing the IEP but actually contributing content in the form of detailed case simulations to the program,” Garfin said.
Andrew Wolpe, president of Magnifi Group, said the wider utilization of the IEP is due to the enhanced content and features. “We have followed through on our commitments to continually update and enhance the program. In the last Academic year we expanded the spine site with multiple animations, case simulations and surgeon authored materials on annular repair, biologics and spine fundamentals” Wolpe said. “For Total Joint we now have a fully integrated hip and knee dissection video library” Wolpe said.
The IEP is cross-browser compatible and Mac®, PC, iPhone and iPad compliant.
